Metro Board approves Funding Transfer and Master Cooperative Agreements with Authority: This significant milestone lays out the framework and mechanisms for $810 million to be allocated to the project between 2010 and 2019, and also formalizes the roles and responsibilities of both agencies during design and construction of the project.

Authority Receives Interest from World-Class Teams to Build Phase 2A: The Authority received Statements of Qualifications from four design-build-finance teams interested in pursuing a public-private partnership to complete the Phase 2A Alignment between Pasadena's Sierra Madre station to Azusa/Citrus.                                                             --- 24 March 2010

Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) releases study on the economic impacts of the Foothill Extension Phase 2A (Pasadena to Azusa) project. The study concludes that construction of Phase 2A will generate nearly 7,000 jobs, $1 billion in economic output (aka business revenue), and $40 million in tax revenue (state, county and local). --- 11 January 2010
